Nexona is easily one of the harder bosses in Veeshan’s Peak due to the mechanics involved with the boss. This fight has heal components, many AOE’s, Harm Touch, shiney’s that produce adds, and drake adds at 46%. Nexona will cause fail conditions if the DPS is too high and if the DPS is too low will cause massive power drain.

MT group begins on the platform to the right as you enter near the specimen (location 3). The rest of the raid stands at the specimen on the opposite side of the room with the specimen and weapon rack (location 1).
Now that everyone is in starting positions, let’s meet the players!
MT Group: Nexona is pulled on MT count with a pet (either Templar’s Hammer or Shaman’s Dog). This allows for the chance that the pet will absorb Nexona’s Harm Touch if cast on pull. Nexona will come down the hall towards the waiting MT, who is positioned on the ramp leading up to her start point. NOTE: All other pets should be in passive as to avoid Nexona getting detained and the MT’s temp buffs wearing off.
Harvesters: There are 7 shiney locations. 3 are located up by Nexona’s starting position (1 behind her and 1 in each alcove), 1 in each weapon Rack on the left and right as you enter her lair, and 2 in the hallway just outside the lair. Generally, there are two people harvesting the shineys. One person up top, preferably someone who can rebirth or feign death. (A druid is most often preferred due to the ability to heal and cure self). Down below one person manages the weapon rack farthest from Nexona and the hallway. This is normally tasked to a bard (runs speed) or summoner (can harvest while pet fights). In either case both will need to be able to self-cure and come back in for heals/debuffs when necessary. The weapon rack closest to the raid (location 3) can be monitored by a raid member once raid is in position or a member of the MT group until the raid joins them. Harvesters will head to their zones on pull.
Specimen Groups: Once Nexona has been pulled the specimens will become attackable. The rest of the raid should start working on killing Specimen (location 1). Do this as fast as possible to move on to the next specimen (location 2). Once the two specimens are dead, the raid will move up to where the MT group is on the platform. During this time, shineys will have started to spawn and been harvested. The raid should assist the MA on killing the adds, while the OT gathers up the adds as they come in and bring them to the raid. The raid will work on the 3rd specimen (location 3) as able to while killing the adds and DPSing/Debuffing Nexona. The remaining two specimens located in the alcoves above Nexona’s starting point will not be killed, Nexona will consume them during the fight and heal. This is expected.
Now that we know who is doing what and where we are standing…..Let’s Fight!
During the fight Nexona will case several detriments. These must be cured.
Acidic blast zone wide and will do more damage the closer you are to the mob…joust!
Necrotic rot is disease based and will land on anyone who has either done damage to Nexona or has gone too long since doing damage to her. This can be precured.
Nexona will cast Harm Touch on MT every 15 mins. If a timer was set on pull, healers should be prepared with Death Saves when it is due.
Shineys will spawn every 30 seconds. Nexona will emote “I feel the power of the spirits growing good” when a shiney spawns. Shineys must be harvested immediately. Once a shiny up is called, the harvesters should set out looking in their areas. When they have spotted the shiney they should let the raid know what location so that the OT can know the direction it will be coming. When the shiney is harvested, an 84 x2 globe called A Glimmer of Scale will spawn and head for Nexona. Occasionally though the glimmer will head for the harvester, which is where feign death or rebirth comes in handy. Once the Glimmer of Scale is in the raid the MA will target the mob until it is around 15% before moving on to the next add. The mob will die to the AOEs of the raid. Glimmers of Scale do Memwipe, so healers should be monitoring their groups.
If shineys are not harvested, there are repercussions.
1 shiney up- Strike of The Scale- Heals Nexona for 1% every 6 seconds
2 shineys up- Spirit Slam- AE power drain
3 shineys up- Decimate- AE zone wide massive damage…. fail
But wait, there is more!
When Nexona’s health reaches 45% she will call forth her minions, 5 heroic undead drakes. Having 2 enchanters in place to lock down the adds for the remainder of the fight. Note: no one should be casting on these and breaking the mez. Mezzers should have cure pots if available or position self so that healers can come out and heal/cure while still maintaining distance to raid.
If they do break loose and join the raid, they will cause havoc. OT should be prepared to round up any escapees and bring them back to the enchanters.
It is very important that everyone is using the MA, and that the MA is not tab targeting and running the risk of accidentally breaking the mez.
A warlock in raid can use null caress on the adds, and remove the need for enchanters keeping the adds locked down.
