STRATEGY
The trash in this zone hits like trucks and frontals. Hug the right wall on zone in and take the drolvarg in the entry way to the right. Then pull the 2 in the room behind you carefully. Pull the rest fo the trash carefully, with the tank keeping close to the walls to avoid pulling pawbuster.
After the trash is dead, position your raid at the far outer ring of the circle
At 25% Pawbuster will have the strength to break the lock on the gate. The MT will reposition him over the greate in the room’s center. The person clicking the lever will move into position and be ready to pull it (The lever is on Pawbuster's Platform). Pawbuster will begin to hit the grate. Pawbuster must hit the grate 3 times before you can pull the lever and drop him to his death. There will be a message of “The grate below Pawbuster makes a horrible cracking sound”. This is the signal to pull the lever.
SUGGESTED TIPS
Whirling Attack:
Every 20 seconds, Pawbuster will use Whirling attack, which places intimidation on the closest 18 targets (this includes pets and dumbfire pets). Having casters and healers send in pets prior to whirling attack is advantageous to the raid.
Healers should be at max distance for MT to lessen the chance of stifle. Designating a healer outside of MT group to monitor and cure MT healers is one way to manage the stifle. The designated healer would be max range from the MT healers to keep from being stifled.
All melee and casters should position themselves in front of the healers to less the chance of healers being affected by stun.
Healers should have macros for the other healers in the raid to quick cure when cross cures are needed. This can also be accomplished with custom UI’s such as Darqui.
Great Cleave:
Every 30 seconds, Pawbuster will swing his axe causing an incurable AOE stun and stifle. OT should be ready to pick up Pawbuster. The OT should be positioned behind Pawbuster during the fight to avoid the AOE to pick up Pawbuster when MT is stunned.
It may be possible for the MT to avoid this attack by stepping into Pawbuster or stepping to the side while the axe is in the air.
Tanks can position selves against a wall or any notched edges of the grate. The notches provide reduction in the distance the tanks are thrown back with Great Cleave.
Pawbuster needs to face away from the raid, due to the frontal of Great Cleave and the chance of wiping the raid.
Alternate Placement
Tank Pawbuster in a corner where you can move him to the grate quickly. The easiest place is at the bottom of the stairs before his starting point. Casters and DP should be positioned in front of your healers to absorb the stifle/stun.
Once Pawbuster is around 20% health, stop all dps and start moving him into position over the grate. The raid must transition so that they remain in front of the healers during the move and once in the final position. It is important to wait until just after Whirling Attack to move the raid, this will lessen the chance of the raid being stiffled, and the MT healers unable to heal tank. It is also important people watch there distance to Pawbuster to avoid any unnecessary deaths, which will heal him under 50%.
