Healing Abilities:
Bolster Confidence – heals for 7,700,000 with each player death under 50%
Items Needed: Mystmyrian Soulcube - you will need one for your tank, as well as the
person clicking statues.
Access: One person in the raid must have killed Selrach Di’Zok (Overking), Pawbuster and Tairiza
Strategy
Venril Sathir is activated once a player crosses the threshold into his chamber. So if the raid is not ready and you are not the MT, do not go near the threshold.
Venril has a Fear, so crouch and walk are advised.
1 (or 2) people should be devoted to clicking the statues in his room. Statues must be clicked constantly during the fight; this will prevent the 2 statues in the hallway from activating. The person clicking the statues must have the Mystmyrian Soulcube.
Burn Venril Sathir to 93-95% and stop all DPS, once both statues have been clicked, and the red text has appeared, burn hard through 90% this will prevent statues from spawning at the start.
Venril will cast Toxic Infusion during the fight, if this is not cured, raiders will die from the follow up spell Fatalis. Toxic Infusion is a tiered DOT, inside of 14 meters the dot will do cause more damage than outside the 14 meters.
At 65% Venril will emote how he will finish the fight. The tank should use the Mystmyrian Soulcube within 5 seconds or the raid will wipe.
At 60% Venril will begin watching power consumption. Raid members power must remain above 30%. Raid members who are under 30% power for too long will spawn adds.
If a raid member dies it is important that only people who can rez with over 30% power are the ones doing the rezzing.
Venril will place 2 kinds of effects on 2 random members every 45 seconds. These last for 10-12 seconds, making it harder to keep your power above 30%.
Mana Sacrifice causes you to consume 200% more power than usual. DO NOT CAST while this is on you. If you have particle effects turned up, you will glow BLUE when mana sacrifice is on you. (It is beneficial that raiders use the ACT Trigger that will notify you to stop casting). If you are in the middle of casting anything and the effect lands on you cancel it immediately. Dots are not recommended due to the nature of mana sacrifice.
The other ability is the opposite. It gives the target enhanced power regen, at 1% power every 2 sec for 10-12 secs.
Class Specific Considerations:
Healers should focus on healing and curing, as well as turn off auto attacks and set pets to passive to avoid the fear.
Position 1 (in the hall)
The raid sets up on one side of the hall, opposite the MT. At the start of the encounter, the MT will cross the threshold to activate Venril and engage him. Once Venril is on the move to follow his target, the person designated to click will move in to get into position. Once the MT has Venril placed, the raid can engage.
Position 2 (in the room)
The raid will stack up behind the MT just outside the threshold to his room. Once the MT crosses the threshold to activate, the raid will follow behind and either go to the right or left of the platform as designated prior to pull. The person who will be clicking the statues moves into position. Once the MT has Venril he will move towards the raid and position himself with his back against a wall.
