General Abbreviations
LFG- Looking for Group
LFM- Looking for More
LFH- Looking for Hunters
LF- Looking For
Add- additional monsters that attack while already engaged
Aggro- how much a mob hates you
Mob- mobile object, in this case the baddie
Named- an important mob, usually capitalized, worth AA, and tougher than the trash mobs
Trash mobs- not the named
PH- Placeholder
OOP- out of power
OOM- out of mana
POP- mob spawned
Stack up- group stands in a tight little bunch
AE- Area Effect- spell will affect all monsters within the range of the spell or ability
AOE- Area of Effect- diameter of the area affected by the spell or ability
Buff- an ability cast on self or other players that strengthens their abilities
Debuff- reducing the mobs abilities
DOT- Damage over time – causes continuous damage over set amount of time.
HOT- Heal over time
Wards- Refers to shaman heal
Reactives- refers to cleric heals that react to damage
Druid Ring- Cast by druids that allow players to travel to other druid Rings
Wizzie Spires- Cast by Sorcerers that allow players to travel to other spires
Call- Call Home, Call to Guild Hall- use your Call Home or Call to Guild hall ability to return to said location.
Odyssey- clerics can send players back to bind point without having to use a Call
COH- Call of Hero- Conjurers can summon players to them
Summoning Charm- bought off market place, lets players call other players to them
Tinker- Call of the Tinkerer allows players to port to another player
Repair Bot-Mechanized Repair Bot that can be summoned for players to repair armor
Wipe- Usually heard in a raid, that means just die and we will try again.
Ding- to gain a level
Disco- discover a new item
WTB- Want to buy
WTS- Want to sell
Camping- killing a specific mob repeatedly or waiting for spawn
Farming- collecting certain items or mobs repeatedly.
Lag- game running slow
LD- Link dead- lost server communication
UI- User interface
FD- Feign Death
AA- Alternate Advancement Ability
GH- Guild Hall
XP- Experience Points
DKP- Dragon Kill Points (used in raids as currency for raiders)
Resists- players resistance to certain damage
Blockers- AOE prevent used by certain classes that can protect group (Blade dance, turtle shell, tortoise shell, Advanced Warning)
DP/DS- Death Prevent, Death Save- Spell cast by healers to attempt to prevent death
TOS- Tower of Stone used by Guardians to prevent damage for set amount of time.
Random- way of distributing loot. Type /random x in chat box to roll on loot. X being number indicated by person randoming the loot
GL- Guild Leader
NPC- Non-Player Character
PST- Please send tell
PL-Power leveling
Rez- to revive a player
Interrupt- preventing the mob from using abilities or casting, or a mob preventing a player from casting or using abilities.
Mezz- Mesmerize- Enchanters can “mezz” mobs to prevent them from attacking, this will break if anyone attacks them, and you will have a pretty annoyed enchanter on your hands.
Port- players requesting druid ring or wizard spire
LOS- Line of sight- line of site is required for many spells or abilities.
Reuse-reuse speed- affects cool down timer of abilities and spells
Root- prevent player or mob form moving
Stifle- preventing casting spells or using combat arts
Stun- preventing all action or and ability
Hunters- Comes out mid content. Series of quests that requires multiple zones to complete that reward Hunters Coins that can be used for adornments.
Shard zones- zones that give shards through chests in zones or through quests
DD- Daily Double- quest given daily that gives 2 shards.

KR- Krono form of currency that can be bought off daybreak website or on market from players for plat
Plat- (P)-platinum – in game currency
Void Shards- Given During TSO as reward for certain quests, named raid bosses, and looted chests in persistent group zones.
Mark of Manaar- Sentinel’s Fate heroic instance currency
Primal Velium Shard- Destiny of Velious heroic instance currency
Pure Primal Velium Shard-Destiny of Velious raid zone currency
Seal of Arad- Sentinel’s Fate raid currency

Blades Insignia Token- DOF faction token from killing Blades faction mobs

Player Statistics
Ability Mod- Increases character’s abilities by up to 50% their max damage, threat, ward, or healing value
AE Auto- AE autoattack – chance for physical attack to hit multiple mobs.
Avoidance- how often you avoid physical attacks
Block- uncontested chance for blocking a physical attack
DPS-damage per second- affects the damage of physical attacks
Flurry – affects the chance of hitting multiple times on a physical attack
Haste- affects speed of physical attacks
Hate Gain Modifier- affects how much threat is generated by a player’s actions.
Casting Speed- affects casting speed of combat arts and spells
Crit Chance- controls how often you will critically hit with spells, combat arts, and physical attacks.
Power Regen- Power Regeneration- How fast your regen power
MIT- Mitigation- percent of how much physical damage will be absorbed
STR- Strength-increases damage and max power for certain classes
AGI-Agility- Increases damage and max power for scouts
STA- Stamina-Affects health pool, MIT, and chance to avoid attacks
INT- Intelligence-Increases power pool and spell damage for mages
WIS-Wisdom-Increases power pool and damage for priests
Avoidance- ability to avoid a physical attack
MA- Multi attack- affects the number of weapon swings per physical attack
Parry- how well a character wards off a physical attack
Reuse- affect the cool down time of abilities
Spell doublecast- chance of double casting a spell
Strikethrough- affect the chance to prevent a mob from parrying or dodging an attack
Casting Speed- speed a player can cast ability or spells
HP- Hit points, how much health you have

Raids- Instances that are designed for either 12 or 24 players to complete, with multiple bosses (most of the time).
ACT- Advanced Combat Tracker- required in most raids, combat parser, spell timers
Joust- Get out of range of the mob. Most often used in raiding and will often come with a distance. Joust out to xx meters, means you move out xx meters from the mob, joust in, means you can go back in to fight.
RL- Raid Leader
MA- Main Assist- The person you assist to kill mobs
MT- Main Tank- used in raids to indicate player that is the meat shield
OT- Off Tank – used in raids to indicate the player that is the backup meat shield
