Norrath's housing and guild zones certainly have great basic floorplans already, but it’s still fun to customize your house just the way you like it. Choosing an inn room in dreary old Freeport doesn’t mean you would be opposed to something brighter, blue and white and filled with fluffy unicorns. This is where being a carpenter can open up a whole new aspect of playing in Norrath.

There are already websites like eq2.fandom.com and EQ2furniture.com that have an exhaustive database of every item you can find in Norrath, so I will focus on a simple decorating guide, using the current items available on the Varsoon TLE server. I will list links to all the items at the end.

Using tall dividers and tall columns, separate one section of the room into a more manageable and cozy space. Plain Fulginate looks pretty good with Mossy Briarwood to create a warm kitchen area with bar seating.

The dining area facing the kitchen centers around a Sathirian sarcophagus topped with a pastel marble tile tabletop. The arcane fire chandelier sets off the red in the Vacrul Ornate Windows. The chandelier also adds a fun ominous sound effect to your dining experience.

Bathrooms can be very fun because of all the different types of cabinets and vanities you can build, and even swap out bathtubs. You’ve got recipes available in game or in the DBC store, or you can just get a specific bathtub or sink from the store instead of crafting one.

Magical guild doors can also be framed with arches and pillars. Don't forget to create some blank spaces for you to display your Lore and Legend and Heritage Quest trophies so they don't get lost in the busy textures of the walls. Painting frames with building block tiles are great for this.
