1. Harvest underwater power sources in:

Nektulos Forest: In Soul Eater Falls at ( 457, 14, -1505 ) Note: Hadden’s Earring has harvestable update in Nektulos as well.

The Thundering Steppes: Near the Shrine of the Sirens and inside a ship wreck ( 1681, -88, 308 ) Note: Hadden’s Earring is next shipwreck over.

2. Return to Scholar Al'Quylar.

3. Obtain the following items in The Ruins of Varsoon:

Brown Research Tome ( 18, 4, 69 ) 

Black Research Tome ( 237, -7, 54 ) 

4. Return to Scholar Al'Quylar.

5. Obtain one of the following items in Stormhold:

Palladium torque: Dropped by Lord Androus at ( 68, 5, -79 ) -chest drop

Palladium bangle: Dropped by The Char Fiend at ( 81, 5, -133 ) -chest drop

By far the easiest is having a jeweler craft Fashioned Palladium Bangle or Pristine Fashioned Palladium Bangle. Having it in your bags will not work. You will need to have someone trade it to you, or you can mail it and just get it from the mail box at the griffon tower near the Oracle Tower.

6. Return to Scholar Al'Quylar.

8. Return to The Ruins of Varsoon 

Kill the Tome of Life: ( 12, 7, 71 ) 

Kill the Tome of Death: ( 228, 0, 55 )

9. Return to Scholar Al'Quylar.

10. Kill Varsoon the Undying in the Chamber of Immortality ( 234, -4, 98 )  within The Ruins of Varsoon. Note: Stiletto’s Orders require Varsoon as well.

11. Return to Scholar Al'Quylar. He will become aggressive and attackable. If you are in a group and do not want to wait, have everyone hail at the same time and coordinate his turning.
