Darkpaw Dugout
Darkpaw Sabotage (Tradeskill)
Darkpaw Warrens (Solo and Heroic)
Special thank you to Taled for compiling this information and allowing us to publish it, making everyone's life so much easier.
Attached you'll find a zip file with (crappy) maps for the GU zones; as well as a guide for how to install them.
The map backgrounds are black, with white outlines for the walls - because I don't have photoshop, so the default parchment background that eq2maps uses wasn't an option for me this time around without going through the hassle of cracking it or something similar.
There are two sections that are not shown on the map - one part of the mushroom section where Repungus spawns, because I apparently forgot to jump over and map that part, and the Underpaw Gnoll section because it goes underneath the splitpaw area and I didn't want to do another map for a tiny section of the zone. One of the 'real' mappers can make better maps. ~TALED~
1) Download the zip file
2) Unzip the files.
3) Put the 6 'dds' files into your EverQuest 2 installation directory, in the UI/EQ2Map/images/maps folder. (Note that this location will change depending on your install and whether you're using a different UI like Darq, in which case it is probably UI/Darq/EQ2Map/images/maps, but I don't use darq!) Note: For me C:\Users\Public\DaybreakGameCompany\installedgames\Everquest II\UI\DarqUI_v3\images\maps.....Dont judge.
4) Put the '_User_MapStyles.xml' file into your UI/EQ2MAP/eq2map2/' directory. You will already have this file there; If you have previously edited it so that specific maps will show that aren't part of EQ2Maps, make sure you ADD THE TEXT FROM THE FILE (appended to end of this doc) to the copy you have. If not, you can overwrite it. Note: For me C:\Users\Public\DaybreakGameCompany\installedgames\Everquest II\UI\DarqUI_v3\eq2map2
Note that this location will be the same directory as the map images, but back to the EQ2MAP/ folder, then eq2map2.
5) If you did this while in game, reload your ui (/loadui, click a different option then your same UI and it'll reload your current UI and settings); If you did it while not logged in it SHOULD work when you log in if you did it properly.
